At Hill City Day School, our programs are designed to support the whole child through developmentally appropriate, play - based learning experiences. We serve children from 16 months through kindergarten, with each classroom tailored to meet the needs of its specific age group.
Our Approach to Learning
We believe young children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions. Our curriculum is built to encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence while helping children develop essential learning skills.
Through daily activities and guided experiences, children build foundations in:
Our Goal
Our Goal is to provide a well - rounded early childhood experience that prepares children academically, socially, and emotionally while fostering a strong foundation for future learning.
Faith integration
As a program located within a non-denominational Christian church, children are introduced to faith in an age - appropriate and nurturing way. Through chapel time, stories, and daily interactions, we emphasize values such as kindness, respect, gratitude, and love for others.
We use the Think Orange Curriculum, which shares three foundational truths with young children: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Play - Based Learning
Play is at the center of everything we do. Through hands-on activities, children are able to explore new ideas, practice problem - solving, and develop independence in a supportive environment.
Our teachers intentionally guide play experiences to support learning while allowing children the freedom to explore at their own pace.
